Fire burning in Webster Parish

WEBSTER PARISH, La. -

Happening now in Webster Parish -- fire crews are trying to get the upper hand a blaze that's burning through some dry fields.

The Evergreen Fire Department is currently smothering a grass fire on both sides of Highway 159 near Leton just north of Evergreen Road in Webster Parish.

If you're driving in that area, you should look for an alternate route if at all possible.
