Between the fireworks, the food, and of course the music, the KTBS 3 Independence Day Festival was a huge success.

No solid numbers have come in yet, but some estimates are that as many as 100,000 people watched the fireworks over the Red River on Wednesday night.

Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover says it's the result of a great partnership between the public and private sectors.

"So I'm thankful for KTBS, the folks at Caddo Parish, the people with Bossier Parish, all the corporate partners that helped to join in to make last night's event what I believe was an overwhelming success," said Glover.
