First responders respond to blaze on Flournoy Lucas

Several first responders are on the scene of a house fire in Shreveport.
It started just before 4:00p.m. in the 800 block of Flournoy Lucas.
Fred Sanders with the Shreveport Fire Department tells KTBS that the carport and the roof of the home was covered in flames.
Officials say one of two residents was home at the time of the blaze. The person managed to escape injury.
However, a firefighter was transported with a hand injury.
Crews managed to gain control of the blaze just after 4:30p.m.
KTBS 3 News also learned that a first responder vehicle was involved in an accident while on the way to the blaze.
