Five arrested in Walmart thefts

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTBS) -

A cashier at the Walmart on Airline Drive and four employees who worked at the bank inside the store were arrested on Tuesday on theft charges.

Walmart's asset protection personnel contacted Bossier City Police in regard to an internal investigation that allegedly showed the cashier, Brittane N. Parker, allegedly sold merchandise to the bank employees at unauthorized discounts over the past 3-4 months.

Arrested were:

Brittane Nicole Parker, 19, of Shreveport
Shankela Dominque Layton, 24, of Bossier City
Britney Nicole Rawlings, 22, of Deridder, LA
Shameka Latrice Smith, 29, of Shreveport
Tangelle Rechelle Baker, 29, of Shreveport

All were booked on charges of theft of goods and criminal conspiracy.
