Getting home is still a headache for some residents in north DeSoto Parish.

Boats are the mode of travel for some in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood. Dozens of families are struggling to get around in more than 10 inches of flood waters that have surrounded their homes and were still rising today.

Residents say they're ready to get their lives back to normal.

"It's something new to me. I feel like I live on the bayou," Sleepy Hollow resident Angel Rodriguez said.

More than 30 families are still affected by this week's flooding.
