Florist Arrested for Stealing Cemetery Flowers

A local florist has been arrested on charges he stole flowers from a cemetery to re-use in his shop.
Shreveport police say James Davis, 42, was taken into custody after a concerned citizen reported seeing him taking flowers from gravesides in Forest Park West Cemetery.
Sgt. Kevin Goodwin says Davis told officers he was only taking easels from the dumpster to repaint and re-use in his shop.
Investigators say they found one easel and some fresh flowers inside Davis' truck.
The owner of J's Special Occasions is charged with misdemeanor theft.
