Shreveport, La. -

Caddo-Shreveport narcotics agents say they scored big when they searched the apartment of former LSUS basketball player Derrick Parker.

Authorities say when they searched Parker's apartment, they seized about two hundred grams of high grade marijuana, a handgun, $4,800 cash, electric scales and some baggies used to sell the drugs.

"Dope, money and guns all go together and it may or may not have been from the police, but maybe to protect his stash," said Lt. Carl Townley.

Townley says agents had been investigating Parker for the past few months.  He says when they showed up at his door, he didn't act very surprised.

"He knew his time was up.  He just kind of had that defeated look," said Townley.
