The Louisiana Workforce Commission sees 10-12 former General Motors workers or suppliers come to their job center inside the old plant every day.

They cover the bases: résumé help, job search assistance, workshops, and retraining for those looking for new fields.

The top two areas for retraining include commercial driver's license certifications and the medical field.
