Fired Shreveport police sergeant Rickey Moore,52, was found guilty by a Caddo Parish jury Saturday afternoon. It took a jury less than two hours to find him guilty of providing cocaine and a prescription pain killer to a dancer at the Deja Vu Strip Club.
During the trial, jurors heard recorded conversations between Moore and the dancer who became a police informant. Moore left her several voicemail's. Prosecutors say in those messages he makes references to drugs. Prosecutor Damon Kervin also showed surveillance video of Moore giving the dancer drugs inside the club.
Moore could face up to 30 years in prison. He was a 17-year veteran of the Police Department and was a patrol desk sergeant.
