The Louisiana Military Hall of Heroes added four men to its ranks on Veterans Day. World War Two Veteran Cleauthor Sanders was the only living vet inducted. The last World War One Vet Frank Buckles was inducted posthumously. So were two local Afghanistan War Vets Jonas Kelsall and Robert Reeves, whose helicopter was shot down last August. Senator Mary Landrieu was in attendance and stressed the importance of helping modern war vets.

"It is very important to keep our eyes on our veterans that stood up, put the uniform on, and put themselves on the front-line," Landrieu said. "Then they come home, its time for us to stand up for them, helping them get employment, helping them with the opportunity to start their own businesses. Many of them have developed extraordinary skills."

The men's portraits will hang in the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium's halls.
