Frostproof is the newest variety of gardenias. This is a great plant for Louisiana landscapes and is the best performer of the gardenia varieties. Plants reach a height of 5-6 feet with an equal spread. Blooms appear in late April through early June. Gardenias prefer well drained landscape beds and full sun. Acid soil is best.
