A Bossier City community is rallying together to suprise a young girl with cerebal palsy with a trip to Disney World.
4-year-old Skyla Johnscher was diagnosed with the disease when she was one year old.
She will have surgery in August to extend the tendons in her leg, allowing her to walk better.
Skyla's family says she loves Mickey Mouse, and her great aunt turned to social media to help make Skyla's dream to visit Disney World come true.
The family held a fundraiser at Greenacres Middle School this morning to try and raise $3000 for the trip.
"People have come out and given lots and lots of their time by coming up and helping us price items and sell items and sell in the bake sale items and we're just really overwhelmed and amazed at the goodness of people overall. Strangers, friends, family," says Skyla's great aunt Jodi Burr.
Her family says Skyla has surpassed everyone's expectations despite her condition.
Skyla's family hopes to be able to send her to Florida next month, as well as donate money to Shriner's Hospital.
An account as been set up at Capital One bank in Skyla Johnscher's name.
