Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover has vetoed funding for a proposed dog park. However, Councilman jeff Everson says the council will vote to override that veto on Tuesday.
What happens next is anyone's guess because the measure would still need Glover's signature. There's speculation he may not act on it.
If that's the case, Everson says the council could go as far as suing the mayor for violating his responsibilities.
The council unanimously approved $280,000 in funding from the Red River Water Commission to a group that wants to develop a dog park on the riverfront at Hamel Park.
