At approximately 8:50 p.m. on July 4, Shreveport Police patrol officers were notified a golf cart leased by SPAR had been removed from the valet parking area at the Eldorado Casino in the 400 block of Clyde Fant Parkway without the permission of any authorized representative of the city.

Officers immediately began searching for the vehicle and within short order located it near the intersection of Caddo Street and Clyde Fant Parkway being operated by 39 year old Jason Lopez of Aledo, Texas. Lopez was taken into custody without incident and, upon further investigation, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of third offense felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated and one count of unauthorized use of a moveable.

Two passengers on the cart, 36 year old Catherine Davis, also of Aledo, Texas, and 41 year old Martin Leyendecker, of Sugarland, Texas, were both booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count each of public drunkenness. The golf cart was not damaged and has been returned to SPAR representatives.
