Harris County Deputies Fatally Shoot Man
Authorities say a 43-year-old Harris County man was shot to death by sheriff's deputies after violently confronting paramedics who the man's wife called after he began acting irrationally.
Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia says a woman had called paramedics Sunday morning. The Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/UyYt1A ) reports that Garcia says paramedics called the sheriff's office after the man confronted them violently. Garcia says the two deputies engaged with the man, eventually using a Taser on him before both deputies fired shots.
The man died at the scene. A deputy was taken to a hospital where he was treated for a concussion, cuts and a bite before being released.
The case remains under investigation by homicide detectives.
