The Haynesville Shale continues to be the big story in Northwest Louisiana.

And, with a lot of money being given out, you can imagine there are a lot of scams out there as well.

Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell is warning landowners to watch out.

He offers a few tips on what landowners should look out for, before signing anything they receive in the mail.

They could actually be signing their mineral rights away, and not even know it.
