Two people are behind bars after police say they hit a vehicle and ran.
Shreveport officers arrested Carl Layton in the 600 block of Ashbourne Drive Tuesday evening.
Police say Layton was trying to buy drugs on 85th Street when he was attacked by the dealers. Investigators say he was trying to get away when the accident happened.
Layton was booked into jail for hit and run, DWI and driving while under suspension. Police say this wasn't his first time to be arrested for hit and run.
Layton's girlfriend, Shannon Becker, was taken to jail for outstanding warrants.
A third person in Layton's truck was not arrested.
