If you go down Youree or Airline Drive, two of the area's most popular shopping destinations, get ready for traffic. You can tell by the lines of cars that it's the weekend before Christmas. Shoppers are rushing to get those last minute gifts, but have created a traffic nightmare. Just getting into and out of a parking lot will take several minutes, something some shoppers were prepared for.

"I pretty much expect it every year. it's a reminder of how busy life can get around Christmas time," shopper Andrew Mulford said.

Just a reminder, some stores are extending their hours this weekend, which may carry traffic on into the night.
