Houston police have shot and killed a man who allegedly stabbed three other guests at a party to celebrate an upcoming wedding. Police spokesman Kese (KEES) Smith said Friday that two officers opened fire when the man refused to put down a knife and then charged toward them. The suspect was dead at the scene Thursday night. Smith says the stabbings happened at a residence where people were gathering in preparation for a wedding. Police are trying to determine what led to an argument and then the stabbings. All three victims were taken to a hospital. Smith says one victim has critical injuries, another is in serious condition and the third person has minor wounds. Their names weren't immediately released. Police did not provide additional information on the wedding plans.
