The Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana is making a big change. The group is now allowing the public to directly adopt cats or dogs from their shelter. Before, if you wanted to get a pet from the no-kill shelter you would've gone through one of their local partners, like PetSmart. The group hopes the direct adoption grows their organization, and they're looking for volunteers.
