Louisiana's waters are a prime feature of the state, but one local man didn't treat them as such. John "Rusty" Miller was recently charged for violations connected to the East Cove community sewage treatment plant. Miller ran the plant for this community. Officials say he knowing discharged raw sewage into the environment, which made its way into state waters like 12 Mile Bayou. Local fishermen aren't too happy with him.

"It makes me feel irate and hostile to know that I'm eating fish that's contaminated," Gerald Martin said.

Miller was arrested back in August for previous violations by a fugitive task force in San Diego. In all, he is facing 30 felony counts by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.
