Friday was match day, a landmark for dozens of students at LSU Shreveport Medical School.
Future pediatricians, surgeons and family doctors just to name a few, found out where they will spend the next few years of their training as residents.
Several students will stay in Shreveport, while others are going to places like the Mayo Clinic, Stanford and UT Houston.
One couple who landed residencies in Birmingham, Alabama together said they're just glad the wait is over.
"We're so pumped. We were excited to be in the same city when we matched and we're going to Birmingham. It's just been a dream come true," said future resident Courtney Campbell.
"It's nice to know finally where we're going and then for it to be where we wanted it to be is very rewarding. We're really happy," said her husband David Campbell.
