It wasn't a bird or a plane and it sure as heck wasn't Superman flying through the sky over Shreveport-Bossier Friday night.

Darcy Crook was standing outside when she saw what looked like a streak of flames falling from the sky around 8:30 p.m. She immediately grabbed her camera, then she grabbed her phone and called KTBS 3. So did several other people who were afraid something terrible had happened.

"I thought maybe it was a plane that had exploded or something," said Crook.

So what was it?

Well it wasn't a shooting star and thankfully it wasn't an explosion or a plane crash. It was the Army Golden Knights parachute team doing a night-time demonstration. The flame some saw was attached to one of the parachutists' leg; it's part of an act for this weekend's Air Show at Barksdale.
