Gov. Bobby Jindal will propose to charge state sales taxes on more services and products than provided in current law, as part of his tax code rewrite.
   That could include items like landscaping, marina services and cable TV that aren't subject to state sales tax right now.
   As he seeks to eliminate Louisiana's personal and business income taxes, Jindal wants to increase the state's sales tax income, to help offset the loss of billions in income tax revenue.
   The governor's point man on the tax code rewrite is Tim Barfield. Barfield says the more items that can be swept into the existing 4 percent state sales tax, the smaller an overall sales tax increase would have to be to counterbalance the nearly $3 billion loss from scrapping income taxes.
