In January a company will be looking to hire more than 80 employees and it is all because of the Haynesville Shale. Weatherford International is opening a new warehouse in the Mooretown neighborhood of Shreveport. The facility will support companies that drill in the Haynesville Shale. Mooretown Advisory Committee President Willie White says it has been a long time since his community has seen any type of growth. He believes the new business will have an immediate benefit to the community. "Those people are gonna have to eat here, so they're gonna be purchasing food, they're gonna be fill up their cars with gasoline, so that's gonna bring economy into the neighborhood", says White. Weatherford spokesperson says the first employees are just to get things up and running. They plan hope to see the company grow each year.
