Judge Mike Nerren takes oath of office

BENTON, La. -

A new judge takes the bench for the 26th Judicial District which serves Bossier and Webster parishes.

Mike Nerren took the oath of office Friday, during a ceremony in Benton.

Nerren defeated Whit Graves in last month's runoff election.

The court handles civil, criminal, drug, juvenile, and family drug court cases.

Nerren says his first case sitting on the bench will be heard in February.
