Judge rules in favor of Bossier School Board

A Bossier Parish judge rules in favor of the Bossier Parish School Board in a lawsuit seeking to overturn the results of the April 21 bond election.
Attorney John Settle filed the suit alleging that officials misled voters that the $210 million dollar bond issue would not result in tax increases.He also claimed that the board misused public funds, but Judge Jeff Cox tossed out that part of the lawsuit.
In announcing his ruling, Judge Cox ordered Settle to pay all costs associated with the lawsuit.
Settle says he is plans to appeal the ruling to the U.S. Court of Appeals.Stay with ktbs.com for updates.
