The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier celebrated a milestone anniversary Friday morning.
The group was established in 1933 and celebrated their 80th anniversary with a dedication ceremony on the corner of Lake Street and Clyde Fant Parkway.
Shreveport dignitaries, such as Mayor Cedric Glover and Councilman Jeff Everson attended the event and spoke to the crowd of nearly 50 people.
The ceremony served as a way to dedicate 80 live oak trees that were planted along Clyde Fant Parkway.
The Junior League planted the trees to serve as there beautification project for this year.
