Junior Required to Take ACT Test

All high school juniors are now required to take the ACT test.
The test measures a students college readiness.
" I think everyone is a little worried about the test " says Hunter Horton, who is a junior at Benton High School.
The school has one of the most structured ACT prep programs in the area.
The exams will cost the state $2 million per year.
It will be given on March 19th 2013.
Students can take the test at their own expense as many times as they like till they reach a desired score. But the state is only paying for them to take one test.
Low-income students will be eligible for two additional test tries at no cost.
If a student scores a 21 out 36 possible points they qualify for a state scholarship to attend a Louisiana College.
The scores are also important for schools because they are now factored into a schools overall ranking.
