A jury of 12 persons plus three alternates has been selected in the Christopher Brian Cope first degree murder trial.
The final selections were completed Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Opening statements are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Thursday in Judge Mike Pitman’s court.
Cope is accused of first-degree murder for the October 2010 shooting death of Shreveport Police Sgt. Tim Prunty.
He's also accused of attempted murder for firing into a guard shack on Shreveport's Norris Ferry Road.
If convicted Cope faces the death penalty.
