Juvenile accused of fatal stabbing in East Texas

MARSHALL, Tx. -

A juvenille is behind bars accused of a fatal stabbing in Marshall, Texas.

Authorities responded to the 500 block of W. Meredith around 11:30p.m. Wednesday in reference to a stabbing victim.

The Marshall Police Department tells KTBS 3 News that the victim later identified as William Ashley Alford of Marshall suffered several stab wounds. 

Alford was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall by ambulance where he later died from his injuries.

A male juvenile, KTBS 3 News has confirmed as Alford's stepson, was arrested and transported to Willoughby Juvenile Detention Center.

Authorities say the juvenile may face a charge of 1st degree Murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
