Melinda Hornbuckle of Haughton, Louisiana, is the winner of the 2012 KTBS 3 St Jude Dream Home.

The house located at 2017 Fairwoods in Shreveport's Provenance Subdivision, is one of nearly two dozens prizes announced during a live broadcast Sunday.

The fundraiser brought in $1,445,641 in local donations to help ArkLaTex children receiving care at the hospital in Memphis.

KTBS 3 established the Dream Home project in 1991 and has raised more than $25 million dollars for the hospital and inspired cities across the nation to adopt their own Dream Homes for a total of $227 million dollars in proceeds.

30 Dream Homes will be built in U.S. cities this year.
