City officials reel in a united effort to help youth in Shreveport-Bossier.

'Katfish 4 Kids' is a fundraising effort by Volunteers For Youth Justice (VYJ) and Capital One Bank. Funds will be used to provide programs to abused, neglected and at-risk children in northwest Louisiana.

'Katfish 4 Kids' will also impact the local economy by bringing in some $10-million to the area.

"It will be great for the public, because they will have public displays of art. It will be great for the artists, because they're going to be paid for their work," said Laurie Lyons, VYJ president.

Starting next summer, 100 uniquely decorated 4.5 x 5.5 foot fiberglass fish will be on display in the streets of Shreveport-Bossier.
