Fatal attraction. That's how the family of a murdered man describes the woman charged with his stabbing death. It happened last weekend in the 300 block of Johnson Street in Mansfield.

Crime Team Reporter Chris Redford spoke to the victim's mother. She says this wasn't the first time the suspect had threatened her son with a knife.

The family says one week ago, he came home and she came out from behind a shed with knife in hand.

This time, Omerro Diohn Montgomery, 33, died after police say his ex-girlfriend stabbed him in the chest with a steak knife.

Captain Gary Hobbs with the Mansfield Police Department says Rakyia Lane, 22, went to Montgomery's house because she heard he was seeing someone else.

Davis describes Lane as a woman scorned. She says after her son broke up with her and she refused to leave him alone.

Mansfield police have also arrested Mechico Wyatt, 28. She's charged with principle to first degree murder. Investigators say she was with Lane when she went to Montgomery's house and killed him. Police are also hoping to talk to at least two other women in connection with this case.
