It's a KTBS 3 Mardi Gras across the Ark-La-Tex and the parade season kicked off today with the Krewe of Sobek in Shreveport.

The parade began at the Fairgrounds Field parking lot at 1 p.m., turned north on Mertis Avenue to Lakeshore, then made a right on Missouri.

The Krewe then finished up back at the Fairgrounds.

Hundreds came out to enjoy all the good times and festivites, and - of course - catch some beads.

The Krewe of Harambee parade is set to roll on Monday, January 21st at 1 p.m.

It will begin on Milam Street in Downtown Shreveport and will be broadcast live on KTBS.
