Brought together by their ministers, the Shreveport church first played host during Hurricane Katrina. Seven years later, they're in a similar situation with Hurricane Isaac.
It was a long journey from Orleans Parish to Caddo, but when these 160 members of the Metairie church arrived in Shreveport at 4:30 Tuesday morning, they knew they were with friends.
"It was great for us to know some familiar faces and to know that it really is a lifetime connection," says Chelsie Williiams with SCC. "They know we're here to help and if the same thing were to happen [to us], they're here for us."
