Those hoping to escape conditions from Hurricane Isaac fled north. Many are making the Arklatex their final destination, filing into LSU-S Tuesday night.

At least 62 people have signed in to take advantage of this shelter, many families with small kids. Volunteers with the Red Cross say it's their job to make the stay as comfortable as possible for everyone. Red Cross doesn't anticipate too many more people to trickle in overnight, but they do plan to stay open until everyone goes home.
