Livingston Parish officials say a local jail inmate died Tuesday from natural causes.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Lori Steele says in a new release that 47-year-old Charles David Dunn was pronounced dead at 12:31 p.m. by Acadian Ambulance personnel.
Steele says an autopsy by the Livingston Parish Coroner's Office determined Dunn died of severe coronary artery disease and gastrointestinal hemorrhaging from ulcers.
She says Dunn was in the detention center for resisting arrest and battery of a police officer.
