It's called the greatest gift to the public, and Mardi Gras can't go on without 12th Night.
The night notes the 12th day after Christmas, which fell on Saturday, and local krewes prepared for and celebrated festivities throughout the day.
All 15 krewes from the area helped get Bossier Civic Center ready for the big 12th Night party.
Krewe members say it's a casual time for them to greet each other and the public.
Before the night's party, krewe royalty attended Mardi Gras Mass this morning, a more recent tradition to begin revelry.
