The Community Renewal Friendship House in the Barksdale Annex Neighborhood got early Christmas gifts. The house's kids were given cool new bikes from the 77 Blessings and Counting Foundation. The foundation was created by Demetress Bell, an NFL star and North Louisiana native. This donation is the first for his foundation with more to come in the future.

"This is our first year to do this," the foundations' Wayne Toms said. "We're getting started with the foundation, just getting it off the ground. We're trying to get Demetress' name out in the public to let them know how great a guy he is for the area."

About twenty bikes were donated today.
