The new Margaritaville Casino, Benteler Steel and lets not forget Elio Motors. It seems the business climate in Shreveport-Bossier is hot. However, Centenary College Economics Professor David Hoaas says while things are looking up, there isn't rapid economic growth.

"We are by no means looking at any type of boom situation," Hoaas said.

Hoaas says economic powerhouses like Elio Motors should make the area more attractive to other large businesses.
