Energy Camp Louisiana is enjoying our newest partner, NASA! Johnson Space Center Engineer, Jason Dugas, who has been involved with projects including the design and testing of spaceflight hardware currently onboard the International Space Station, is showing our campers how energy is used in the human space flight.
This is Energy Camp Louisiana’s third year providing free camps to high schoolers throughout Northwest Louisiana and we continue to grow! Thanks to dedicated companies like Platinum sponsors, Encana Oil and Gas (USA) Inc., and Shell Oil Company we have been able to expand to five, week-long camps, allowing us to reach out to even more students. “We are thrilled to see Energy Camp Louisiana’s growth each year,” said Steve Short of Encana. “This camp is extremely important for Encana and Louisiana educators as it jumpstarts a lifelong interest in energy and natural resources for these students.”
The remaining three of this year’s five camps are June 18-22 and June 25-29 at Bossier Parish Community College and July 9-13 at Northwestern State University.
