While the flash mob madness seen at the Mall of Louisiana can't easily be predicted, local law enforcement and shopping centers are prepared for the worst. Louisiana Boardwalk General Manager Ray Tromba says security at his shopping center tries to stay one step ahead of trouble.

"It's one thing to be reactive," Tromba said. "It's another thing to be preventative. So, we try to take it a step forward and think ahead, check Facebook, check websites, check chatter."

Tromba says several eyes are constantly watching the Boardwalk. Hired security is present as well as Bossier City police.

"We have people who you can't tell who they are looking as well," Tromba said. "So, to the extent to where you can be prepared, we like to think we are."

Shreveport police also have a presence at Mall St. Vincent. SPD's Corporeal Marcus Hines says officers are often hired for security.
