A Shreveport man is behind bars in connection with the whereabouts of a runaway teenager.

Shreveport Police arrested 37-year-old Dave Delaney after authorities found 16-year-old Toryana Turner hiding in a closet inside his home in the 5900 block of Southern Avenue.

Detectives charged Delaney -- a registered sex offender -- with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Turner was not injured and is now safe at home.
