William Boyler loves animals so much, he's willing to go without eating to make sure they're healthy and happy.
The Bienville Parish man spends almost all of his monthly disability check feeding and caring for about thirty stray dogs.
"God gave us dominion of animals and he expects us to take care of them and not discard them like trash," said Boyler.
Boyler says he'd love nothing more than to see the animals go to loving homes. He says without his place in Jamestown, the dogs have nowhere else to go.
Bienville Parish does not have an animal shelter and Boyler says there are no plans for one.
"We took it before the police jury and they said no way. They said it cost too much money," said Boyler.
Boyler says the shelter in Webster parish helps as much as possible, but with so many strays all over the area, it's difficult.
"My wife cooked four pans of biscuits that I fed them yesterday and I pray to God he'll supply some food to be able to feed them today," said Boyler.
