A Kansas plane crash killed the fiancé of a Shreveport woman in May. Dealing with such a loss hasn't broken her faith. She's planning a mission trip, and she's getting some help to pay for it. A Spaghetti Lunch was hosted at the Christian Center Shreveport to help raise funds for Rachel Fouts to go on her mission trip. Fouts' fiancé attended several trips during his life. She says her trip is not only about honoring him but honoring a call from God. She says she's grateful for the support.

"Thanks for all the support and the love and the prayers," Fouts said. "I felt so much love from the community, and thank you for that."

Fouts will be traveling to Tanzania to help prepare a new home for young women there.
