Locals React To Presidential Debate
Dozens of people filled the TGI Fridays on Youree Drive and the Clarion Hotel on E. 70th Street to watch the first of three presidential debates.
Everyone agrees on the need for more jobs.
"There are a lot of people who do not have jobs and a lot of people who want jobs, but they can't find them under this president," said Romney supporter Parker Ward.
Ward says Governor Romney's plan to create jobs is right on the money, but State Representative Barbara Norton says President Obama has done a great job in the last four years.
"We have to look at the fact of how many jobs we were losing when the president came into office and we have to look at how the president was able to turn that around," said Norton.
Many experts say the candidates' positions on jobs and the economy will sway the most undecided votes. The first round of debates could be the most crucial.
