It's MASH BASH time in the Arklatex, and area blood centers could use your help the next couple of days. MASH BASH 2012 is being held Wednesday and Thursday in several areas in and around Shreveport, Bossier City and Texarkana.

In the U.S., blood donations are at a staggering level, down 10%, according to the American Red Cross. Blood donations are typically down in the summer months, but anyone who is 16 years or older and in good health is encouraged to donate.

If you are interested in donating, please drop by one of the following locations on Wednesday between 10am-8pm: The Shreveport Lifeshare Blood Center at 8910 Linwood Avenue, the Bossier Center at 1523 Doctors Drive, Hoban Hall on Barksdale Air Force Base, the Minden Civic Center at 520 Broadway, the Bossier Civic Center at 620 Benton Road, Walmart at 6235 Westport in Shreveport and the Texarkana Center at 1321 College Drive.

On Thursday, the following locations will be accepting donations from 10am-8pm: The Shreveport Lifeshare Blood Center at 8910 Linwood Avenue, the Bossier Center at 1523 Doctors Drive, the Shreve City Walmart at 1125 Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, the Minden Civic Center at 520 Broadway, the Bossier Civic Center at 620 Benton Road, Walmart at 6235 Westport in Shreveport and the Texarkana Center at 1321 College Drive.
