MRI Confirms Mayor’s Torn Quad Muscles
Mayor Cedric Glover was cheerful this afternoon, laughing and joking with Christus Schumpert personnel assigned to help him deal with the quadriceps tendons he tore when he fell Wednesday at Oak Park Elementary School.
The Mayor conducted some of his duties from his hospital bed and lamented the fact that he won’t be making any public appearances anytime soon. Although the MRI confirmed the preliminary diagnosis, no date has been set for surgery.
"The prognosis for my recovery is good and I’m optimistic that I can perform the bulk of my duties without compromising my health," Mayor Glover said. "Fortunately, I don’t spend eight hours a day at a desk so I’m quite comfortable working from a remote location."
