Here's a question for you, do you know where the clothes you are wearing come from? Well there are some kids who now know where a lot of the things we buy come from. Safa Michigan an 8th grader attending Caddo Middle Magnet with about eighty of her classmates are a part of a new grassroots campaign called Made in America. Its aim is to reduce our reliance on imported items and buy things made in the good ole USA. "We wanted to create awareness that this shouldn't be that way, that most things should be made in America because it will boost our economy and create jobs, said Michigan. To find out just how many items are actually made in America the students went to two stores, Target and Best Buy. The kids hope to change that to help secure a future for their tomorrow. Next year Safa and her classmates hope to spread their message with a planned state wide made in America day in March, where everyone in Louisiana citizen buys American made in products.
